Hii, it’s Gink!! I just had my first camping trip of the year! It might've been a tad earlier than usual, but there was no way King Bob & I were missing the Eclipse last Monday. We pitched the tent at one of our annual #ginkbob campgrounds and headed to Carterville, IL to catch 4 minutes and 3 seconds of totality under a perfectly clear sky at a winery. It was beyond awesome. As darkness fell, the geese went wild, I even spotted a confused wolf, and bats were fluttering about. My first eclipse camping experience was back in 2017 when we headed to Idaho Falls, Idaho for the show. We parked in front of an empty abandoned building, and as totality hit, bats came swooping out. I live for these wild adventures. Already making plans for the 2044 and 2045 eclipses – wouldn't miss 'em for the world. And who knows, maybe we’ll even catch a few in different countries before then...
