K8 & GINK

K8 and I are notorious for our storybook adventures that seem surreal.

One of my favorite chapters to tell involves someone very near and dear to our hearts that we met over a decade ago.

Before I got my first apartment in Michigan, I lived with Aunt Jenny, and I really wanted K8 to visit. She did, along with a friend. This friend wanted to go to Chicago, so we all hopped in the car & stole a case of Vernors from Aunt Jenny for the trip.

When we arrived, we chilled with some of the A$AP mob in the studio and watched Ferg record his album, Trap Lord. Pretty cool experience to see how an album is made but we were super tired.

That’s where we met Nascent, a mathematical producer wizard, who happened to grow up (not too soon) to “be hollywood” and win Grammys.

A$AP paused the studio session to go to a club, and we jumped in the car with this random guy we just met, Nascent. He proceeded to point out all the crime spots on the way, and we realized we both worked with Asaad, instantly becoming besties.

Hola Nascent! It's been 11 years, buddy. Your free trial has officially expired. If you want to keep up this bestie status, hangout on Cinco De Mayo – and we're expecting some sort of financial compensation for all the emotional support we've provided over the years! 💙

Purdue defeated NC State, & UConn defeated Alabama. It's a sad day for Big Al, one of our fav mascots. Tune in to the Purdue vs. UConn Championship game. Update: UConn won! March Madness is over. 😭
